Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam: A tourist’s food haven

One trait that I was able to pass on to my son is my love for food. I eat anything and everything – from grass to big bulls.

What I like about traveling is I get to taste local foods. This is always the highlight of our travel. We make sure that we find where the best food is served and what the locals recommend. My family always looks forward to eating the delicacies of the place where we go. I’m just happy that I have a child and a husband who are as adventurous as I am when it comes to eating.

Visiting Vietnam and Cambodia on a limited budget

This month, as my hubby’s birthday gift to me and my son, we travelled to Ho Chi Minh and Siem Reap, both are well-known cities in Vietnam and Cambodia. We brought along with us Maricel, my long time assistant. Again, our travel to these countries came abruptly. My hubby was not able to resist a 1-peso fare last year and booked it through Cebu Pacific.  As we always do, we never travel if we do not get a promo fare; with this trip, we got ours for only Php 3,600 per person for a 2-way ticket.

Believe it or not,I only had PhP 43,000 or $1,000 with  me when we went there. There were 4 of us. With this amount, we had the following:

Why I love Gomone Restaurant

There is one restaurant in Davao City that makes me and my family visit almost every week. It is Gomone Restaurant, a korean restaurant located in Dona Vicenta Village. If you know where Chowking infront of Victoria Plaza is, then, it will be very easy for you to find Gomone. No, its not the one facing Victoria Plaza. You have to go to Dona Vicenta road inorder to see Gomone

We happened to pass by this restaurant sometime late last year. We were looking for a new place to eat and having a taste of Korea seemed so enticing. Together with my sister-in-law, my husband and my son, we barged inside the newly opened restaurant. That was the start of our korean food craze.
