Our very rough and wavy ferry ride to Siquijor

When I say wavy, I really mean, big waves. That’s the ferry ride that we had when we traveled to Siquijor from Dumaguete City.

Despite Regie’s fever, we decided to proceed with our Siquijor trip. Both of us were thinking that he would be feeling better the next day. Unfortunately, he did not feel better and we had no choice but to go back to Dumaguete the following day. Josh and I also had fever. We did not even had the chance to go around the island.

Dumaguete’s Painitan: breakfast place of the locals

“Let’s eat where the locals eat.” That’s what my husband always tells me when we travel. According to him, you will appreciate the local foods if you get a taste of what the locals eat.

Thanks to Ang Pinaka, a show of GMA News where they featured top 10 must see places in Dumaguete City. On our second day, we went to Dumaguete Public Market just to have a taste of their Bodbod Tanuay and Bodbod Kabog, a sticky rice delicacy of Dumaguete City. It is similar to the suman but sweeter. They even have the chocolate version.

Pamela’s Pension House: A review

Again, we reached Dumaguete City without any bookings. I have searched online for possible inns or pension houses where we can sleep for a night and the top backpackers’ haven was Harold’s Inn. However, Harold’s Inn has a higher price for a family room. We were looking for a place where we can sleep together in 1 room but pay below P1,000.00 and Pamela’s Pension House was just right for our budget: P 750/night for 3 people. Btw, I only read 1 blogger who featured this pension house in his blog and I found no reviews from Trip Advisor.
